Originally from Atlanta, GA, Caroline studied art at UNC and UW. She has resided in New Bern since 2003. Through the vibrant colors of oil paint and watercolors, Caroline aims to capture the beauty and intricacies of the world around us with meticulous detail and precision. She is drawn to the challenge of recreating the details and textures of everyday life in a way that evokes a sense of wonder and appreciation. The viewer is invited to pause, observe, and appreciate the small moments of beauty that may go unnoticed in our fast-paced lives.
Caroline teaches at the Academy of New Bern which was founded to address the needs of artists at every level, and affords a relaxing environment with a result-driven program of fundamental art training. Technical proficiency is the basis of all skillfully produced art, and the programs are designed to build these critical foundations.
