Lisa and Pat Connell are a husband-and-wife collaborative team. They use wheel thrown and hand-built techniques to create face jugs and other pottery. Lisa has retired from Craven County schools as a middle school art teacher. Pat retired from the golf course industry after 30 years. They use mid-fire stoneware clay and mix most of their own glazes from raw ingredients. The Connells handcrafted jugs and pottery are inspired by traditional techniques and art history. They like for people to laugh and have fun with their unique pottery because they sure have fun making it.
